This type of speaking club known as 'The BIG FREE English Speaking Club" is a little different from the traditional-topic-based speaking club that you might have attended. But, how I hear you ask yourself....

There is no host directing the conversation and asking the questions, but don't worry, you will still be guided. In this speaking club you will join a group of around 3-5 people and talk about what you see on the slides. 

What is the topic? Well, the topic is called Have you ever... ? and it works like this. You will join a group of 3-4 people in a room and discuss what you see on the slides. What you will discuss is your own experience, for example. The first slide might say 'Have you ever been to Asia?' and from that, a nice conversation should start with the other people in your group talking about your experience of Asia or your lack of experience. This type of topic is the perfect opportunity to practise using the Present Perfect and Past Simple as well as asking questions and generating discussion. The experience will change around every 8 or so minutes. 

Keep in mind when answering to not give one word answers. A brief explanation of your answer is a good idea, try not to go on a super-monologue sending your group mates asleep. Listen to the people in your group and ask follow up questions to their answers. Try to make it as natural as possible. 

This speaking club will last for 60 minutes, but this doesn't mean you will be kicked off the call after 60 minutes, you will be allowed to stay and chat with the others who wish to stay in the main room.

This speaking club is open to anyone who is Intermediate and higher. You will try to be grouped with a similar level.
