This type of speaking club known as 'The BIG FREE English Speaking Club" is a little different from the traditional-topic-based speaking club that you might have attended. But, how I hear you ask yourself....

There is no host directing the conversation and asking the questions, but don't worry, you will still be guided. In this speaking club you will join a group of around 3-5 people and talk about what you see on the slides. 

What is the topic? Well, the topic is called My First, My Last, My Next and it is a great way to practise using past, present, and future tenses. You will see a list on the slide, and decide if you'd like to talk about your first, last, or next, connected to that thing, For example, it might say PHONE on the list and then you'll have the chance to talk about how your first phone was a Nokia 3310 and all you did was play Snake on it or how your next phone is going to be an iPhone because everyone you know says it's amazing...

This topic is nice and straight forward and easy to follow, but keep in mind when answering to not give one word answers. A brief explanation of your answer is a good idea, try not to go on a super-monologue sending your group mates asleep. Listen to the people in your group and ask follow up questions to their answers. Try to make it as natural as possible. 

A new 'thing' will come up on the My First, My Last, My Next list every 6-7 minutes to keep the conversation and topic fresh. 

This speaking club will last for 60 minutes, but this doesn't mean you will be kicked off the call after 60 minutes, you will be allowed to stay and chat with the others who wish to stay in the main room.

This speaking club is open to anyone who is Intermediate and higher. You will try to be grouped with a similar level.
